we work with a kill switch and a fire switch. so i understand how to set it in a model but do not know how to set it in the 3D.
This bit is a bit confusing as I'm not sure the difference between "model" and "3D". Do you mean you understand how to set it up in the OpenFlight (model) but can't figure out how to make it "play" properly in your runtime (3D)?
If you need help setting this up in OpenFlight, we can certainly help on this forum. If you're getting stuck on how to make this "play" in your runtime, you might have to pose this question to the runtime team (frforces, maybe you mean vrforces or Vega Prime).

If you meant how to set it up in Creator, maybe this quick illustration will help.
I have created the cargo and 2 models for the parachute: closed and open
Next create a switch node and moved the 2 parachute models under it.
You will need to set up the switch masks (you need 2)
In VP you will call for the switch to happen
thank you both for your reply. sorry for not being clear. I mean that i do not know how to set it in the runtime 3D. we use vega prime 5.0 so i will search if i can ask the question there

i work with frforces and vega prime as 3d viewer. the 3d models are openflight. in our simulator you can drop a unit with a parachute.
is it possible to set a switch in the model that when you give the drop by parachute order that the model will show a parachute?
