Texturereawoldsizes.xml uses?

Original Post by: Wed Nov 5 04:02:48 2014

Hi,

I have seen an xml file in creator > config folder named texturerealwordsizes.xml, can some body tell me what is it used for. I have spotted creator makes a xml file named attributeseach.xml once we save some attribute searches from new attribute search. But I'm not getting how we can take leverage of this texturerealwordsizes.xml.

And also I'm new to xml I would like to know more about xml and creator bridges like what all way we can take advantage of xml files in creator and if there is any specific syntax (creator defined) for xml n creator.

Thank you,

Sarath

This is an internal data file used by several tools in Creator. It "remembers" the Texture Real World Size overrides you enter while using certain tools in Creator. You SHOULD NOT do anything with this file.

The XML (Extensible Markup Langauge) format, itself, is a world-wide standard. There is plenty of documentation/resources available on the "syntax" of these files. There are many good books and web pages to learn more about XML. There is nothing Creator specific about XML.

XML files can store anything and the Bridge Wizard (and other wizards in Creator as well) can store the parameters you enter while using the tool in XML files. There is a lot of information you (as a user) enter into the Bridge Wizard, for example, and these XML files let you store/re-load "sets of data" (also called Layouts) as a convenience so you don't have to re-enter the same values over and over to build the same or similar bridges or buildings.

These XML files are created and consumed by tools in Creator and are not meant for users to create/modify directly. As such we do not publish a "specification" for these files. If you do feel brave and want to leverage these files outside the scope of Creator tools, you are free to do so, but again, we don't provide documentation on their contents. Furthermore the format of these files can change from release to release so be aware of that if you do choose to fiddle with these files directly.
