I propose that the base material list be extended in some way to include materials of constant temperature. These new base materials representing heat could then be used in composite material definitions and/or mixture layers to represent texel accurate hot spots of real world temperature.

With material textures to be supported on 3D model for CDB 3.1 (proposed change), how will Hot spot be supported on 3D model with Material textures.
