Model Textures

For OpenFlight models, it seems to be a little unclear what types of textures and which file extensions on the textures are allowed. In Section 3.1.4.11.1, it seems to say that .rgb is only allowed. In Section 4.0, it mentions .rgb, .rgba, .tif, .tiff, .int, .inta in the text. In Table 4-1 .rgb is missing. In Appendix C Texture Files, it mentions .int, .inta, .rgb, .rgba, .jpg, and .tif.

What are supported formats for model texture?

What are the supported file extensions for model textures?

In Appendix C Texture Files, it mentions ... jpg

I believe the JPEG portion of this question was confirmed to be errata as discussed in point 3.) of the Miscelaneous Conflicting 3.0 Specification Statements and Errata thread.

Also, can CDB please standardize on a single spelling of the .tif[f] extension?

SGI (.rgb) is the only format supported for 3D model textures as mentioned in section 3.1.2.2.2, GTModelTexture File Naming Conventions.

However, I admit it is unclear... and see to improve this particular point.

We have standardized on TIFF when designating the format and .tif as file extension.
