Using the License Tool to locate the Host ID

The licenses issued by Presagis are tied to a Host ID that comes either from the machine itself or a USB dongle. The license has the Host ID encrypted inside the license key record. The License Tool makes sure that the license and the Host are identical before allowing the product to run. 

Locating the Host ID

When requesting a license, it is necessary to provide the Host ID along with your license request.  The Host ID can be located by using the Presagis License Tool.

The License Tool's second option "Get Host Information" provides this information.

In the Host Information window you will see the Host IDs listed.  It is recommend that you copy and paste all seen in this window.  

Use the shortcut Ctrl+A to select all Host Information and then Ctrl+C to copy the Host Information to the clipboard.  Alternatively you can right mouse click to see the menu: 

The Host Information is now ready to be pasted into your e-mail to Presagis.
