SUMMARY
Presagis provides a MD5 hash (or checksum) for product downloads. This article shows how to verify the checksum, as to determine whether a file was downloaded successfully, or was corrupted.
DETAILS
Before you start, you will need to download a Checksum Verifier such as WinMD5Free (with User Interfacel), or Microsoft FCIV (command line tool).
Using WinMD5 Free
-
Start WinMD5.exe
-
Click Browse, select the downloaded file, then click Open.
-
Visit Presagis' download page, and Copy the original MD5 hash
-
Paste (CTRL+V) the original MD5 hash in WinMD5Free, and click Verify.
The verification result will appear in a pop-up window.
Using Microsoft File Checksum Integrity Verifier (FCIV)
For instructions on using Microsoft's FCIV, please read Microsoft's online KB article:
